Carlos Antonio Rodón is a professional baseball player who plays for the New York Yankees in Major League Baseball (MLB). He hails from Miami, Florida, and attended North Carolina State University. In the 2014 MLB Draft, Carlos was picked by the Chicago White Sox in the first round and became the third overall pick. He was selected in the 2011 MLB draft by the Milwaukee Brewers but chose to attend college instead at North Carolina State University. In college, he played baseball for the NC State Wolfpack college team. He also played for the San Francisco Giants during the 2022 season. Carlos won the All-Star pitcher twice also pitched a no-hitter on April 14, 2021.

While in college, Carlos Rodon was a part of the USA Baseball Collegiate National Team. After his freshman year at NC State, he initially thought about turning down the invitation so he could rest for the summer. But he took the opportunity because of the ability to play in Cuba, the land of his family's origin. Rodóon returned to Team USA following his sophomore year and was labeled one of the top prospects. For two summers with Team USA, Rodon went 5–0, with a 0.75 ERA. He allowed only three earned runs in 36 innings pitched and tallied 42 strikeouts.
